Optoma unveils DuraCore laser technology, 4K UHD and home entertainment projectors at ISE 2017

Visitors to the Optoma’s stand are among the first in Europe to see its new 4K and ProScene DuraCore laser projectors in action.

Demonstrations are organised into four zones: Innovation; Retail; Mapping and Home featuring:

  • Seven new DuraCore laser projectors for versatile installation, superior colour and consistent brightness

  • Innovative retail solutions using projection to create engaging in-store displays

  • New 4K UHD projector using single chip DLP technology – bringing ultimate clarity to both home and professional users

  • Mapping solutions - covering all markets from home users to professional AV installations

  • New 1080p gaming projector – featuring DARBEE Visual Presence digital image enhancement technology for an immersive and lifelike viewing experience

  • New audio products from our NuForce sound range

ZU850 - ultimate colour performance

The main display features Optoma’s new flagship ProScene model, the ZU850. This WUXGA dual-colour laser installation projector featuring MCL technology (Multi Colour Laser) forms part of the DuraCore range which combines longer-lifetime light source and an independent IP rated dust certification.

Four ZU850 8,000 lumen projectors are dual stacked each producing an impressive 16,000 lumens, with content mapped onto irregular shapes and surfaces for a visually striking display.

Innovation zone

Optoma’s new professional 4K UHD projector - the 4K500 – uses a single-chip DLP design to avoid alignment issues and give extreme precision with no ghosting.

The DLP 4K UHD solution delivers more than 8 million pixels to the screen with 4 million mirrors. Each mirror is capable of switching over 9,000 times per second, creating two distinct and unique pixels on the screen during every frame to deliver full 4K UHD resolution.

The Innovation zone features a floor to ceiling high resolution edge-blended projection. This uses four 5,500 lumen ZU510T ProScene projectors installed at various orientations and two Optoma Chameleon GB-200 blend and warp processors.

A fully integrated and accessible plug-and-play mobile interactive projection system - The Magic Carpet from Sensory Guru is on display.  This uses the Optoma X320UST ultra short throw projector which can project a 100 inch image from just 55cm from the floor. The unit is small and light enough for users to be able to move it around with ease and take up minimal storage space

A next-generation digital signage solution from Tensator also features on the stand. This new virtual assistant uses cutting-edge ambient light rejecting (ALR) technology along with an Optoma ultra short throw projector built-into the unit to project an image and create the illusion of a real person, acting as an interactive informational and instructional tool.

Retail zone

The retail zone showcases the new high definition 4,000-lumen ultra short throw laser projector - ZH400UST. Four ZH400UST projectors are edge blended to create two large displays.

Visitors can see a unique Point-of-Sale (POS) earphone display that will enhance the consumer’s purchasing experience in the retail sector. This innovative display features products from the highly acclaimed NuForce range.

Dynamic Projection Institute’s Mirror Head is demonstrated with Optoma’s ZU510T compact laser projector in an engaging floor projection with moving images and video across different surfaces.

Another highlight is a next-generation in-store display for UGG by Projection Artworks. Powered by Optoma’s LED ML750ST projectors, this display brings digital to the physical, by applying animated content onto and around the product to generate in-store engagement.

Mapping zone

Two demonstrations of Optoma’s mapping solutions are shown in this zone – from web-based professional mapping to mobile mapping from a smart device. Visitors are invited to try out the intuitive interface of Optoma’s Projection Mapper app tool.

Home zone

Optoma’s new high quality, versatile home entertainment projectors include the new 4K UHD resolution UHD60 and the GT1080Darbee with DARBEE Visual Presence™ technology.

Created for movie fans, the new Optoma UHD60 projector delivers the ultimate in home cinema, combining true 4K UHD for the ultimate in image quality with excellent colour depth, crystal clear detail, and sparkling contrast.

Ideal for gaming enthusiasts, the new GT1080Darbee short throw projector is the successor to the popular GT1080e, offering 1080p resolution, Rec. 709 colour, dual HDMI ports, 3,000 lumens of brightness, and a 25,000:1 contrast ratio. The Optoma GT1080Darbee features a new Enhanced Gaming Mode with a 16ms response time while the integrated DARBEE Visual Presence™ image enhancement technology brings revolutionary levels of depth and realism to the images.

AV News shortlisted the Mobile Magic Carpet in its AV Display Innovation of the year. It also shortlisted the Oxford University installation from Conferex for AV Project of the year (Education) and the UGG retail installation by Projection Artworks for AV Project of the year (Commercial).  Optoma’s ZU650 laser projector is a finalist in both the AV News Awards and the InAVation awards.
