Optoma adds new short throw projector to its impressive DuraCore laser range - ZU500TST

Optoma has expanded its range of DuraCore laser ProScene projectors for the professional installation market with the launch of a new high-specification short throw projector – the ZU500TST. The low-cost feature packed projector boasts a brightness of 5,000 lumens and offers ultra-flexible installation options to include HDBaseT™, lens shift, four corner correction and 360° positioning in any direction. And its short throw lens offers stunning image performance from a short distance.

Optoma’s DuraCore laser range champions an industry-leading laser light source delivering a minimum of 20,000 hours in full brightness mode, along with an independent IP rated dust certification.

Philip Watt, Commercial Product Manager at Optoma Europe, commented: “Optoma’s new short throw laser projector offers an affordable solution to projects that would otherwise need a more expensive exchangeable lens projector along with the cost of a short throw lens. Features on this low-profile installation projector include WUXGA resolution, 360° operation, four corner adjustment, Picture-in-Picture and HDBaseT™ connectivity.”

Designed for but not limited to exhibitions, museums, galleries, meeting rooms, huddle spaces and retail, the new projector comes with the added benefit of horizontal and vertical lens shift allowing for quick and accurate installation. Four corner geometric adjustment is also included for uneven walls or where a projector placement is awkward and needs to be installed at an angle.

Additionally, an HDBaseT™ input is included to simplify cabling requirements and reduce installation complexity, saving time and reducing costs.

The new model also supports Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) – perfect for video-conferencing and other collaborative applications.

Designed for maintenance-free, continuous 24 hour operation, the ZU500TST is truly a fit and forget solution.

The ZU500TST is available in black or white as standard. All Optoma projectors can be supplied in any colour to blend in with the installation environment.
