Optoma launches their first ProScene Projector

London, December 2011 – Optoma today announced the ProScene EH7500 WUXGA projector. The 6500 ANSI Lumens, dual lamp, interchangeable lens design represents the first ProScene marque product.

For more than ten years Optoma has been one of the world’s foremost projector designers and manufacturers - amongst the very few companies that focus exclusively on projectors. This knowledge and skill has been distilled into the new ProScene products and support services, designed specifically for demanding professional applications.

The ProScene marque has been newly created for very high brightness, fully featured and extensively supported Optoma projectors and services. ProScene projectors will be available only through certified partners, a network of the most experienced AV installers and integrators have been invited to join the ProScene Certified Partner Program.

Optoma will be providing specially-trained dedicated support and service teams to their partners to advise on any aspect of the installation, integration or maintenance of ProScene products. This team will be on-hand from initial design brief and planning phase of a project right through to the installation and commissioning stages and beyond.

Maintaining the optimal performance of ProScene projectors will be a key element of the support. Certified partners will have access to what is probably the most extensive network of service centres across Europe of any projector manufacturer.

Dual-lamp, WUXGA and 6500 lumens delivers bright crystal clear images, and 24/7 operation to ensure complete reliability. The dust-sealed, filter free design prevents dust and dirt from affecting the system – ensuring optimal image quality with minimal maintenance. Motorised lens shift, focus and zoom combined with the extensive lens options and interchangeable colour wheels, provide installation flexibility.

The incredibly reliable, high resolution WUXGA DLP® DC3 chip, where the image is initially created, via the P-VIP lamp pulsing technology that fine tunes the colour to exacting standards, through to the precision optics to focus the image on a screen, accuracy and integrity of the image are paramount.

Glass aspherical lens and optical elements and the use of Low Dispersion (LD) glass maintain optimum sharpness and focus uniformity over the entire image. The ProScene insistence on uncompromising optical quality ensures extremely low colour flare and chromatic aberration, resulting in a crystal clear, high contrast image

Two colour wheel options ensure image quality and brightness match exactly to the applications requirements. The standard colour wheel maximises brightness whist ensuring good colour reproduction, whereas the enhanced colour option maximises colour performance and accuracy. The colour wheels are interchangeable modules and can be fitted or exchanged on site without removing the projector cover.

Head of Product Management, Justin Halls commented, “Optoma have listened extensively to the market to understand precisely what is required to succeed in this demanding sector. Clearly, our projectors must be of the very highest quality and reliability, but perhaps even more critical is that the service and support we provide must be second to none. We have invested substantially in both to ensure that our partners’ capabilities are unparalleled.”

The EH7500 is ideal for boardrooms, auditoriums, live events, houses of worship amongst many other applications. Once installed, the projector is easily managed. Optoma now offers Crestron Roomview ™ compatibility, a custom configurable interface to monitor, manage and control every device in every room remotely via a network. The RS232 control functions will be certified by all the major control system companies to ensure smooth interoperability for trouble free installations

Optoma was a world leader in supplying projectors to the industry with <1 watt power consumption in standby mode, the EH7500 not only delivers reduced running costs, but reinforces the commitment to “environmentally friendly” features such as timer control functions and fast shutdown and start-up. Lowered total cost of ownership coupled with virtually maintenance-free design ensures there are no hidden costs to owning an Optoma projector
