Optoma launches PK120, the latest Pico Pocket Projector

London, July 2011 – Following the continued success of the Optoma range of home and business Pico projectors, Optoma have introduced the PK120 capable of producing an image of up to 70 inches.

The Pico PK120 retains the pocket-sized form-factor weighing just 145g and the 2GB of internal memory that has made its predecessors such a success. The on-board memory is capable of storing major file formats and the micro-SD slot provides additional multimedia content. The choice of express-on covers, offers the consumer a way of personalising their Optoma Pico.

“The Optoma Pico PK120 is arguably the best value battery-operated Pico projector on the market today,” commented Head of Product Management, Justin Halls.  “With the added benefit of increased image size of 70 inches and mirco-SD slot, the PK120 is a fantastic entertainment Pico projector for watching downloaded films or connecting to your iPad®, iPhone®. The PK120 is a brilliant way to impress your colleagues too; use it for projecting highly professional looking PowerPoint® slides, images and video files.”

Projecting photos, movies or PowerPoint presentations with the Pico PK120 is straightforward using the micro SD slot which is capable of accepting cards of up to 32GB. In many situations, that means there is now no need to carry a source device. There’s also no need to carry a heavy and bulky power supply as the Pico PK120 has a rechargeable battery capable of giving up to an hour and a half of use on a single charge.

However, for those occasions when there isn’t time, or it’s not necessary to store the files on a memory card, Optoma have included VGA and USB connections to the specification to facilitate use with most sources. It’s simple to connect an iPod®, iPhone®, mobile phone, digital camera or mobile gaming devices to the Pico but with the inclusion of a VGA and USB, it’s now possible to use the Pico PK120 with a laptop, too using the supplied cables (one of four supplied as standard in the box) to the output source.

The Optoma Pico PK120 projector is available now.
