Optoma launches new range of Ultra-Short Throw Projectors

London, June 2013 - Optoma today launch a completely new range of Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors. The line-up consists of the widescreen W307UST WXGA (1280 x 800) and X307UST XGA (1024 x 768) model. Each model is supplied either in interactive (i) or non-interactive form. Designed with the education and business markets in mind, the new projectors are capable of delivering a 100 inch projected image.

The W307USTi and X307USTi models have built-in interactivity to turn any surface into a 100 inch interactive screen and annotate on any projected image from a variety of input sources. Provided with two pen support and the latest LightPen interactive software, users can fully interact and annotate their projected display.

Head of Product Management Justin Halls commented. “With the projectors so close to the projection surface, presenters and educators will be able to provide shadow and glare free learning using the full 3300 to 3500 ANSI Lumens of brightness. Our new UST projectors are designed to make an impact and with full 3D capability as standard, every presentation or lesson can become an exciting experience.”

With a contrast ratio of 15,000:1 and using BrilliantColor™ technology from Texas Instruments the projectors produce superb images with pin-sharp graphics and crystal clear text.

The projectors have an extensive range of inputs and outputs too, including HDMI v1.4, RS232 and audio in and out. For larger classrooms and boardrooms, the presenter can take advantage of the inbuilt 10W speaker to deliver multimedia presentations to a larger audience. When a full installation is required both Crestron RoomView®, AMX compatibility and PJ Link technology are built it and our custom designed wall mount ensures a straightforward installation.

Intuitive on screen menu and user friendly controls, these projectors are simple and easy to use.

The environmentally friendly range of projectors has energy saving features including <0.5W standby mode and auto power off to save time and money.
